Last Saturday the 23rd of January, PBR threw one heck of an Art Party.  It was held at the Illiterate Media Gallery and Indy Ink in Denver.  We were blown away at how great the Art submissions were this year.  I think there were over 65 pieces of local Art submitted into the Art Show.  Crazy!  People in Denver love them some PBR.  

 

We at So-Gnar contributed 3 of those pieces.  Two of our pieces were mixed medium concoctions.  We used cardboard at the canvas, then applied numerous layers of Spray Stencil's, then adhered textured paper and finished it off with more spray stencil art.  The final piece was a computer generated PBR design. We hope one of the wins the contest again this year!   

 

The event was a grand ol time.  Jonathan & B-pro, Joesphine and the Mousepeople, DJ Ginger and Deftron threw down all night!  Great tunes.  Both venues were at capacity all night!  Can't wait for the next Art Party!!

 

Below we have some pics of the event.  You can see our 3 pieces in several of the pics.  Finally, we wanted to highlight our favorite Art project of the night.  Keenan Hock put together the most creative installation I have seen in quite some time.  It was a crazy PBR Can Critter Project.  He made molds of his fingers, and attached those fingers to the can, creating legs for these crazy/creepy critters.  He then took the critter creations around town and took photos of the can army taking over the city.  I never knew a beer can could have so much emotion.  Well done Keenan!!
